06/23/2003 | K Ah the VHF contest, and another year on top of a high mountain.
This years location Sedgwick, 9100 feet up a rocky dirt path, some tense spots for a 2 wheel drive VW camper bus. But the VW did it again, its like a pack mule, Up hill and through the rocks.
Sedgwick is just south of Lava Hot Springs Idaho in DN42. We had hoped for another location, but the road still had a 6 x 20 foot snow drift blocking our route.
So, plan B. Which turned out better, because DN42 is a rare one, and the qsl cards are flooding in.
I guess like everywhere else, Saturday was HOT, Sunday was a bust. 401 contacts on 6, 2, and 432.. Another good one.. John.. -- K0IP
