06/30/2003 | V25XX First I have to say I had a great time in V2 Antigua. I enjoyed passing out a new country on 6M for so many. I stayed at the Royal Antiguan Hotel, the room was on the (8th) top floor. I had the antenna mounted on the roof of the Hotel. Grid: FK97

On Saturday at the start of the contest 6M was wide open, single/double hop. I had to stop working the pile-up to get laptop set-up for the contest. During the first day I had one 3 hop opening to California, and that ending the evening at 0220z with a total of 229 contacts. On Sunday I wasn't so lucky, the band only opened a couple of times. I hope to do it again in the future from the same location.

Equipment: Icom IC-756Pro, M 6M5 5-element ant. TE Systems amp. which the T/R relay was stuck.

I like Jon N0JK wish the DX contacts also counted for the DX operators. Total for the Contest 294 Q's 116 Grids with the DX Q's included.
