Quiet before the storm on Saturday night. Less than an hour after this photo was taken, a massive 6-meter opening to the west, southeast, and then northwest USA resulted in many, many QSOs from this nearly uninhabited grid (DM74) in central New Mexico. Using just 6- and 2-meters, I set a new personal contest best of 15,624 points. Working 80 different grids on 6-meters - mostly from this QTH - made the difference. -- WB2FKO
