06/30/2003 | KD2HE This year I found an exceptional location atop an 18 story building in New York Citys East Village in lower Manhattan. A friends terrace was gratefully loaned as a site. The weather was beautiful although there were a couple of rain showers in the early morning hours. A two person tent kept everything dry.

I ran about 5 watts on 20 meters into a dipole. Im not sure what the propagation conditions were like. The band sounded wide open from way up there. See you next year! -- KD2HE
