In the truest definition, Amateur Radio Field Day is all about testing your emergency operation capabilities, operating in an environment disconnected from commercial power, exposing the general public to amateur radio in a significant way, trying new things, connecting with your served agencies, let's not forget the contest portion of the event, and more importantly, building amateur radio fellowship. Operation in Jacobson Park, in Lexington, those were the goals of Fayette County (Kentucky) Amateur Radio Emergency Service. We don't know how we did on the contest portion yet, but we did pretty well increasing the awareness of amateur radio. CQ Field Day from WX4KY! Please copy six-alpha Kentucky!
