07/02/2003 | W9UR The Kentucky Indiana Contest Club ran a 2A station in Southern Indiana at a Monastary/Retreat Center picnic shelter on the grounds. Participants were W9UR, K9GX, and K4WW dropped by to make a few CW Q's. Antennas were a 40-meter loop, a 20-meter dipole, a 6-meter vertical delta loop, a Cushcraft R-5 Vertical, and a G5RV mounted on a push-up pole supported by a vehicle tire.

Both 10 and 15 meters were pretty dead and most of our contacts were on 20, 40, and 75/80.

It was a beautiful weekend with clear skies and reasonable temperatures, We all had an enjoyable weekend. -- K4AT
