2003 ARRL Field Day
PSK was fair, but SSTV and RTTY were not to be found. Biggest problem was interference from other close proximity transceivers. (DUH!) We had some glitches with the computers getting started up, but the gremlins stayed away for the most part. Evan, WA4PNI, lost the TX in his IC-756 Pro, but it has already been sent in for repair. Thanks to all the guys who loaned equipment, and to the Athens City Fire Department for the use of the MCP. (Boy, the A/C gets COLD on that thing!)
We even managed to be featured after the fact by the Chattanooga Times in a special article. Thanks to Mike, W4WJH, for setting up the interview and explaining Field Day so well. We saw lots of hams that weekend, some old, some new, and some who hadn't been on the bands as of late. Chris, KE7GZ, had a great time operating, and we sure are glad to have him on the air in McMinn County! Thanks once again to Steve, NA4K, for his expertise in setting up the NA log program, and all the interfaces! (And of course his SHORT call sign.)

"The success of our Field Day is due to the Great support group,
the people that provide the food, handle the questions about our
operation to the public and the support from the County officials
and the people keeping the generator running." Steve-NA4K
