07/13/2003 | WA6WPG My first effort using a solar panel with the battery. Worked great and really extended my operating time and reduced the necessity of such a heavy battery. Conditions were not great but could work most of the stations I could hear. What did me in was the daytime temperatures in my Mojave Desert location. Was a great learning experience. -- WA6WPG
