2003 ARRL Field Day
We operated class 1B using a K2, Superantennas Yagi up 20 ft and a 40/15M dipole shot into the air using a sling shot.
We could only operate during the daylight hours the park was open. We began at 11AM and closed down at 8PM. Working Cuba with our 5W on 20 was our highlight. A very hot sun, flys, black flys and more flys made the day memorable. Many visitors keep on interupting us as this was a rest area for Mountain Bikers and hikers. NExt year we will get a permit and spend the night. A Toshiba notebook with a screen that was have let and the bright sun made logging a special challenge. -- NK6A
