2003 ARRL Field Day

07/20/2003 | W4ARM Our location gave us a good height advantage from the roof (about 60 ft up) of a parking garage using the tribander. We also had a 40m dipole at about 70 ft.The station was set up on the floor below in the shade from the 90+ degree heat on the roof. Propagation was very challenging. All HF bands closed down for us from 6:00 AM to 7:30 AM local on Sunday morning. Last couple hours of event were most productive on 15 CW. Operators were Joe W4SAA, Ed N4EJG and Al W4ARM.
Thanks to Ed and Joe for their great help in the setup and teardown. Thanks to Joe for providing the gear and antennas! And of course, thanks to all those who worked us during Field Day 2003. -- W4ARM
