Thanks to all who struggled to pull my puny signal out of the static this year. My regular sized G5RV had come down a few months ago, and I wasn't able to get it back up in time for the contest. Had to settle for a "junior" G5RV (40 through 10) at less than optimum height, and positioned in the wrong direction to boot. In 2000, I'd managed to get a clean sweep, but 10 meters was still in pretty good shape that year and accounted for quite a few contacts. Without 10 and 75 this year, it was a struggle, and I was only able to muster 59 sections. Next year, I think I'll set up a portable station in SNJ. Never heard a single CQ from there the entire weekend! -- KE4VH
