Hi!!
As a new "HAM," I've been enjoying this "hobby" a great deal!! Thanks to all the experienced old hands who welcomed a new '03' to the ranks.
I run a small station using home brewed loops but still was able to snag the rare 1500 miler and have a lot of fun. And all on less than 50W!!!
A funny sidenote though... I once got a little excited and cranked up the power a little too much. I found out that the alarm system in my house works, and I also gave the police officers who showed up something to chuckle about.....
This is fun and I enjoy it, but I would ask that the contest keyer users to program the machines to pause longer so we can get our entire six character callsign in, and remember, the small guy out there trying to be heard, might be the "sweeper" you need...
