11/21/2003 | K8FC Well, I must admit , SSB is brutal and not for the faint of ears. I operate and love CW most of the time but since I made a CW sweep this year I thought I would try for the SSB sweep. Well, did not make it as I missed ND and WY and I live in Colorado. Go figure. I should have went outside and shouted north and beat tom-toms that would have worked better. Heard both stations weak, but they were in my skip zone at the time I heard them.

I was hoarse for three days, even using the computer wave files for most of the exchange.

All antennas and the radio worked without a flaw, knock on wood. Murphy for once stayed home.
