12/10/2003 | WA3KYY This contest was a whole lot of fun. Despite only staying up until 0500Z each night I managed 36 sections including 13 new states. Nebraska was the farthest west I managed to work although I heard Wyoming, Colorado and North Dakota. In fact there were quite few stations I could hear that weren't hearing me. Next time I'll have to stay up later and see if I can work some 6s and 7s. I really appreciated all the operators who took the time to make sure the call and exchange were correct, several were new states for me.
