12/10/2003 | N8XD This was my first try at the 160m CW contest, and I loved it! I was using a Yaesu FT-897 (100w). The antenna was a tuned-up 80 meter loop strung around the trees in the back yard. From Michigan, it worked well throughout the whole east half of the US and Canada. No contacts west of Colorado though. Thanks everyone for participating, it certainly made my first time memorable! -- N8XD
