12/15/2003 | AA1VT Slow going on Friday evening, as we only worked one station. Thank goodness there was someone else on in the same town! Hunt and peck on Saturday/Sunday was the order of the day, as we were running low power into wire antennae. We could definitely hold the frequency, but it would be quite fair to say we were NOT generating a pile-up. Whereas our top CW op has given us a tremendous advantage over much larger stations in the past, the mults were not falling into our lap like in past years. We may have to re-think our strategy for years where the condx aren't so great. ARRL 10-m Contest is a great time, and a contest that works out suprisingly well with balancing time with the family and eating sushi. Two ops spent the night on Sunday, as we received 18" of snow in central Vermont that evening. AA1VT -- AA1VT
