12/15/2003 | K6RJ This was my first time working the 10m contest and was only able to work about 8 hours between Saturday and Sunday but had a blast anyway. I was able to complete a couple hundred Q's in the Single-Op Low Mixed category and kept tabs on 3 active kids to boot! I logged 39 states mostly east of the Mississippi and 15 countries spread over the Caribbean, Central and South America. Only heard a couple of Europeans and nothing from Asia or Africa, as expected.

All in all, it was a fun way to spend a few hours and get in some operating time. I even broke out the old straight key and logged a few on CW. I think I'll make more of an effort on CW next time. I look forward to next year when, hopefully, I'll have a small beam up. -- K6RJ
