2003 ARRL International EME Competition
These hams have typically low power stations with relatively small antennas. For example, ZS6WB was running only 80 watts to a modest sized antenna. DG5KW was only running 50 watts to a 2X13 element array, and was absolutely thrilled to make such a QSO. Yet, these stations were worked on a random basis (answered my CQ), without the benefit of advanced scheduling. Such was unheard of just a very few years ago. There are others in the log with similar setups, I'm sure. Welcome to EME all you new enthusiasts; what a thrill to work you. -- W5UN
