2004 ARRL Straight Key Night

01/04/2004 | K As usual, SKN was great and it's always an honor to be participating. I made only three contacts but I have a tendancy to be a bit long winded. The highlight QSO was with Kathy, KS6CW, who was operating with the call sign W6MTC, the call for the Morse Telegraph Club, of which I am a member. I removed most of the "pile" from the operating desk and used my DX-60B/HG-10B and TMC GPR-90. The "cans" are 1924 Western Electric and the key is a solid brass WW2 Signal Corps that I found in a box of tractor parts some years ago. I couldn't get my starter rig, an Adventurer and NC-125, going, due to a need for filter caps. Next year! 73-de Dave
