Though a little light on the number of contacts at 22, the 2004 SKN contacts using 52 year old glow-in-the-dark equipment and the J-38 from my mentor, W9FUF, were of quality rather than quantity. Many QSOs were well over an hour long, and the 2+ hour contact with AA1A went into "overtime" even after SKN officially ended. Hats off, incidentally, to K9LA and AA1A who proved that one need not send slowly to send well. Here's hoping that the QSOs throughout 2004 continue to be as rewarding, and keep those filaments glowing. -- K9VKY
