02/23/2004 | W8JWN I had no intention of operating in this contest. I spend most of my contest time on SSB or RTTY; however, with the upgrade to Extra a few weeks before the contest and N1MMLogger, I found myself ripping right along on 80 and 40. I added 39 new countries on these bands! Conditions were exceptional on the low bands. I might make this a serious effort next year and operate more than the 12 hours I operated the past weekend. If so, I need to get a few cw filters for the FT1000MP! -- W8JWN
