My contacts were down more than 50% this year over last. This is due to the fact that I only worked 15 and 10 meters, and I used low power. Running a KW certainly gets you heard in the pileups. The highpoint for me for the contest was working XV1X, Hanoi Vietnam. That was certainly a new one for me. This was a greyline contact using my 15m moxon antenna at 20 feet pointing 300 degrees. Also during that one hour period, I got contacts to most of the Asian countries that were participating that evening (about 15 countries that I heard).
Overall, I did not work too many hours...about 10. So I guess I did pretty well making 171 contacts to 62 dxcc's. I think I will go back to high power again next year. -- K6SGH
