03/08/2004 | N8CBW Contest station was my mobile installation parked in Fairborn, OH. 100W from a IC-706 MkIIG into ATOC Mini HF sticks. Operated for just over an hour and generated 12 QSOs from 9 countries on 10 and 15 meters for a whopping 360 points! (Everyone has to start somewhere.)

Goal for the contest was for everything to work. Success there. Band switching included jumping out of the car, swapping sticks, and jumping back into the car. Previous work to tune the sticks gave good SWR on each band. Logging was clock, paper and pen because there wasn't any more room in the front of the car. -- N8CBW
