06/28/2004 | W0MAC Although Mother Nature was not on our side, fun was had by all. Our origianl site was to flooded to pariticipate so we had to scramble on Thursday to find an alternate site. We where able to get permission to use Spring Creek Park in Tomball, TX. Many thanks to the park supervisor for giving us the complete north end of the park.
On Saturday, we received about 4" of rain and a few more inches on Sunday but this did not stop us. We did not burn up the air waves but we proved we could set up a few stations and antennas during adverse conditions. -- N5LYG
