2004 ARRL Field Day
Holding the night shift down, Len Batttista, W2FX and Eric Kehl, KC2KJX operate high above Long Island Sound at the Horton's Point Light House at W2AMC's Field Day site. Len, an "old-timer" and Assistant Manager of the New York City - Long Island Section, joined forces with newly licensed Eric and helped rack-up the club's contact points.
With a elevation of 90 feet above mean sea level the radio clubs antenna installations work well on all bands. Six and two meter openings provided the VHF enthusiasts a chance to log some meaningful points toward this years field day score.
In the attached photo you can see a pair of dogs who's owner was a neighbor. They seemed content waiting for an occasional food treat from the club's members.
