06/28/2004 | N2BWC This was a casual operation just to see if the FT817 and "JOEY" antenna would work with five watts from my back yard in Oceanside, Ca surrounded by hills. My first contact was on 15 meters cw with W4VIY in northern Florida. Proof of concept succeeded. -- N2BWC
