06/28/2004 | ND6P I wasn't able to use my planned field day site, a mountain peak in Los Angeles' Griffith Park because a mountain lion had taken up residence in April. So I operated 1D from my home QTH in Burbank instead. I did get a chance to try out my new contest software and it worked well except my touchpad would freeze during transmission on 40 meters. So I added an optical mouse the next day to resolve that. Hopefully the mountain lion will have moved on before the next FD. -- ND6P
