2004 ARRL Field Day
K6Z returns to the 2002 FD site. This was a TOTALLY different FD, in which the Huntington Beach RACES members were "called out" to an "activation." The FD exchange was the "traffic" and individuals were "deployed" with their RACES "Grab-n-Go" gear. K6Z acted as Net Control, and handed out FD contacts, etc.
Very interesting concept, which may be used with other ARRL contests.
OH BTW - We did SIX contacts on 10GHz - not bad - but it would have been nice to hear more microwave activity during FD. Perhaps FD Rules could change to make contacts over 1,000MHz count as a Bonus Point Multiplier, or count towards the "Non-Traditional Demo Modes"?? !!
