02/18/2002 | VE2OWL I have a G5RV sitting only 35 ft above ground in a city lot and 100 W, so I'm not in the KW club, but I managed to make 422 QSOs and 179 countries with about 24 h of operating time shared with my young family. (That means I eat and sleep when THEY eat and sleep)

I was pleased with openings on all bands and am amazed at 40m (67 QSOs and 35 countries) and 80m (27 QSOs in 20 countries), mostly EU.
And of course in decreasing order, 10m, 15m and 20m. Everyone I heard went into the log.

Lots of DX mainly to Europe, Russia and ex-USSR, and even some towards Japan (rare here in eastern Canada for us, small ops).
South America was deceiving and so were the Caribbean islands, except a bit on late Sunday afternoon.

All in all, it was preety good DX weekend.
