AL7LE
The weather was hot but so was the propagation in what may be one of the best Field Days for the Moosehorn Amateur Radio Club, AL7LE. Propagation on the edge of the auroral zone can be quite challenging but with 85 degree temperatures, hot for Alaskas Kenai Peninsula, brought on by a subtropic patttern, the conditions were rather like more southerly latitudes. Is there a connection? Must of been the sun! A new 40 meter rhombic provided plenty of action on 15 and 40 meter CW along with the 20 meter work horse band. Throw in some satellite and psk31 along with a picnic and VE testing session and its a weekend to remember -- KL7WP
