02/18/2002 | KB1H With CW the preferred mode by most of the operators here at KB1H,
the ARRL DX CW contest is the favorite. One of the gratifying aspects of contesting is
receiving email from a DX station commenting on our ability to
"dig his weak signal" out of the QRM/QRN. In this case it was DJ8
on 80 meters running 1 watt. As usual, snow fell during the contest
and I think only Field Day happens when we don't have any snow.What
would be a contest without some precipitation noise on the antennas. -- KB1H
