06/29/2004 | XE1KK/3 There is nothing more motivating than operating an exiting contest from and exiting location: Field Day from Acapulco. My first Field Day participation since the contest was open to DX. Operated category 1B QRP using a FT-817 with an external battery and the ultra practical Budddipole antenna. Rented a room at Las Brisas Hotel and asked for one of the top of the hill villas at 895 feet high overlooking the Acapulco bay. Conditions were great on 15, I even had a small pileup at some points.
