06/29/2004 | W3SW KB2ZWZ and I (W3SW) worked Field Day 1B from the back yard again this year. We used solar panels to keep our batteries charged. We ran 100 Watts using my new Kenwood TS-2000.
Antennas were a G5RV,80m dipole,and a 40m dipole. The temperature dropped to 41 deg F! We were wearing winter coats and gloves. It was too cold for the insects to be out, they knew better! It was a fun way for a father and son to spend quality time enjoying ham radio. 73s and see you next year! -- W3SW
