06/29/2004 | VO1BRK The Baccalieu Amateur Radio Klub VO1BRK invited several officials to
their Field Day operation. Pictured are Mr G. Sweeney from the
House of Assembly of the the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador,
Mr Boyd Snow VO1CBS, Avalon West Emergency Cordinator, Mike Ryan,
VO1RYN, candidate for the NL Field Organisation, Yours Truly Joe Craig
VO1NA, RAC NL Section Manager and Dave Goodwin VO1AU, RAC Atlantic
Regional Director. Also in attendance was NL Net Control Carl Milley
VO1UL and other members of BARK who cooked crab meat, fish'n'brewis,
and socialised between operating. There was also a demonstration
of a Low Frequency (LF) experiment and discussions of repeaters and
emergency communications. A great time was had by all.

Reports of other field day operations in Newfoundland and Labrador
were received from the Avalon Amateur Radio club and the St Anthony ARA. -- VO1NA
