06/30/2004 | W2DQ SUFFOLK COUNTY RADIO CLUB DOES NOT LET A LAST MINUTE SETBACK RUIN THEIR FIELD DAY PLANS

After plans for a joint effort with the Brookhaven National Labs amateur radio club fell through, this group did not cancel their FD exercise. Setting up their stations in the club president Cathy Pearsall's (KC2ACJ) yard, the club members had the chance to operate their two station entry. Using emergency power and "good ole Yankee persistence" SCRC members displayed a noteworthy efforts this FD weekend.
