So.. at the last minute I found a cabin rental up in the Arizona high-country (Overgaard) and got a Buddipole Dipole to compliment the Elecraft K2 I recently built. More than enough power was supplied from a car battery I charged earlier in the week..

I was AMAZED! Truly, decent communications can be maintained using a very elementary station setup! I had a great time casually operating and was happy to see CW is still "alive and well"! 73 Gary -- K7ZD
