07/04/2004 | W4ATD The Decatur (AL) Amateur Radio Club participated in its 51st Field Day and had a club record event! 23 hams came out throughout the day to help out with setup and operating. Our GOTA station made a few contacts to help with the final score, and also helped whet the appetite of a couple of hams to try to upgrade so they can get active on HF. The final score was the largest one in the memory of at least one of the long-time members. Next year could be even better! We can't wait!
