07/07/2004 | N7TWB The Honeywell radio club of Glendale, Arizona was represented by Bruce Rogers N7TWB, Brent Abbott NA7D and John DeRuiter WM7A. We operated this year from Dairy Springs Campground near Mormon Lake, AZ in the Coconino National Forest. A new experiment was the deployment of a balloon-lofted vertical antenna. Two tries were needed to get the balloon safely past the trees, but the antenna performed well, especially on 15m and 40m. -- N7TWB
