07/14/2004 | W4SS PALMS WEST ARC OPERATES 1st FIELD DAY AT DIVISION OF FORESTRY
FIRE TOWER IN WESTERN PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA

Newly formed Palms West ARC of Loxahatchee, FL held their first
FD at the last surviving fire tower in South Florida. Using the
call W4SS, honoring the memory of SK Manny Papandreas, courtesy of
the Palm Beach Amateur Radio Council, the club operated FD as a 2A
entry. Everyone had a great time & learned a lot in the process.
