What a great time was had by all. We had 12 active members this year working the contest for the ARES District 24 Franktown Fire group. Several operators came and went thru the event, and two of us chose to stay the entire time. We were at an auxilary fire station near Franktown, CO. Last year we spent half of the event mired in mud, so we decided to try some paved driveways this year. Setup went well on Friday evening. Several contacts were made to check out equipment. The Saturday start time came and away we went. Rain soon followed, and we even saw a funnel cloud or two, but we stuck with it and survived. Sunday morning was calm and clear, and we finished with a respectable score for the small operation we had this year. The generator worked well, as did the rotating dipole and the wire inverted vee we used. We are all ready for next year. Benjie W0CBH -- W0CBH
