02/25/2002 | WT1T Fantastic condx! Had the rate meter on Sun morning up over 200 at a couple of points, with sustained rates over 150. I've never heard 20 and 15 open in the morning to both EU and JA, with equally strong signals. Was also amazed at the number of QRP stations in both EU and JA. Just pointed the TH7 North and had a blast.

I've also never participated in a contest with so many SV's-- maybe they're prepping for a radiosport event in the '04 Olympics?

For the second year in a row, the last station worked, with less than a minute to go, was JT. Great way to finish!

All the antennas played very well and no visits from Murphy, thanks to a borrowed Alpha 89! I look forward to getting the score up even more with fellow ops K1TWF (host), WO1N, K1WD.
