09/15/2004 | WA1RKS Had a good time as usual, even though band conditions here seemed down. Was not able to work lots of stations on 2m,432,that I worked easily in prior contests. Everyone was great as per hard contacts, had to go CW a lot,and patience was commendable on all ops that worked with me to make the point,kudos guys. Contentions? band hopping, I lost lots of contacts to guys that were "snagged,and dragged off to other bands" wasted lots of time trying to refind them. And didn't with a lot. I can understand this for Rovers, but not base setups, hopping bands wastes time, and loses contacts.
Lots of "ragchewing" going on also.
Would also like to see the full postings in QST for all ops the way it used to be. Space can't be at that much of a premium,see lots of other items posted of lesser concern. So theres my 2 cents worth,spirit dampened a little, but never will it die! Vhf contesting Rules! 73, see you all next test in Jan. de Ellis. -- WA1RKS
