02/25/2002 | K5UJ A few weeks ago I purchased a used Corsair II. I ran it barefoot into a Titan vertical for this contest, at anywhere from 50 to 80 watts and gave the linear a rest. I didn't operate for more than a few hours but I worked everyone I called--it was great. The best part for me was working the Marshall Is. on 20. The on-line soapbox is a good idea but not a complete substitute for print. I'm enjoying reading the comments and especially looking at the shack photos of what I call the D&D stations (the ones I drool over and dream about setting up for myself someday). -- K5UJ
