09/17/2004 | KB9PJL Well this was not the best contest BUT we did have a lot of fun.
With the best turn out for qso in EN44..(90 6 bands)Not bad out
club Chippewa Valley VHF Contesters K9CVC racked up a nice score.
We have made are first sweep on 50 Mhz - 1296 with K2DRH with out blowing something up. (We tend to push the amps alittle hard)
We are running 375 on 6 with 150 on 144 222 & 432 200 on 902 &
the small water cooled 450 watts on 1296. Now if we only had good
peramps..We are glad to say we are going to change a few things for the next contest The back tower with the 617b will go from 60 feet to around 80. Hope that the wind will let it stay. All in All I would
like to thank the Rovers that work so hard and long hours just to
let us know what part of the shack needs work for the next contest.
