11/22/2004 | K5IX I had a blast in SS SSB as usual... my main objective is usually to get the SWEEP...it makes the contest exciting to me to be able to say you got the sweep with what you had to work with.
My 80 meter dipole and a butternut vertical went up well into the night and worked well for me on 40/80. The Cushcraft A3 beam at 50 foot did great on 10/15/20. I doubt my YAESU FT-847 is considered a contest rig but I worked everything I tried to... my elmer BUS K4IX (SK) taught me well...
