11/22/2004 | KI0DI Second try at SS Phone. Conditions were much better than last year. Great 10m opening to California at the start of the contest. Managed 115 QSO in 58 sections (40/50 states) in about 5 hours with 100W into a G5RV at 40ft. Don't know why I never heard IA, NE, ND, SD, KS, or OK despite searching 40m & 80m? The best part was getting N1HRA for RI 5 minutes from the end! -- KI0DI
