12/09/2004 | KB0PJV I always enjoy this as the kick off to the winter here in Minnesota. This was my first solo contest with my new used Rig & amp. I was using a GAP Titan DX, which appeared to work surprisingly well for a vertical in a contest situation.

The best contact I worked was an Ohio station that was using a 3 element 40M beam. I copied their exchange loud and clear S9 +10db through my dummy load. I quickly finished tuning up and switched to my GAP vertical to work a quick exchange.

I hope to have more time to work the 10M contest and hear you all on the air.
