03/07/2002 | W1JQ Lots of fun! My goal was to make 1000 QSOs with my motley collection
of wire antennas (g5rv, 15m dipole, 160m inv-L) and 100 watts. Didn't
quite make it, but got to 829, including 2 QSOs on 160. (Could
have had more, but I was too tired for the 3AM on 160 thing). The
conditions were excellent the whole time.

I was a little puzzled by the scarcity of VK/ZL. I worked a few VKs,
but on the whole, there wasn't much activity from
that part of the world.

One thing I'd really like to see: a "team" competition like NAQP. That
would be a wonderful addition for ARRL DX. -- W1JQ
