2005 ARRL June VHF Contest

06/13/2005 | WC4J WHAT A CONTEST! This year we operated from the Fairfax transfer station "MT. Trash moore" at 600ft. Setup began on Friday with good weather chants in Latin after January's blizzard. Starting at 10am on Saturday Bill N3OH John WA1STU Dwight AI4II and me WC4J setup atop the hill and where ready to operate at 1300 with Bill staying to operate.

The weather was great and the bands where good, Unfortunately Murphy struck again in the 2304 sector, not only did it take out the transverter but also took out the microwave! With the new addition of a 903 transverter we operated 6m to 1296 scoring 50,000 in the 20 hours we operated.

Check out the web report for more pictures and actual log.
