05/30/2002 | NP2B John NP2B, SM for the Virgin Islands, gratefully acknowledged my request to work the phone SS with him and Bruce W4OV. Actually, I thrust myself on John! Being an ardent contester I could not go on vacation to KP2 in November without working SS.(my wife understands, really!) After an e-mail exchange John welcomed me to his station. What a great host! As with all multi stations operator chemistry is important. Bruce, John and I immediately fell into sync and had a great time. We just missed the top ten. But, got a clean sweep.
